When you first joined Passions and posted your first poem here, which one was it? Provide a link if possible so we can all ooh and ahh over it.   Was there any reason you picked that poem to be the first one you posted? Did it have a special meaning for you, or was it one that you had written around the time you registered?

The first poem I posted, I believe, was  called Promised Land. (I'm not quite sure, because I was here before the waving folder designated a new member's first post!) I picked it out because it was something I liked a lot out of the stuff I had written, and also because I had written it shortly after I joined. It was the first love poem I had written as well. I don't have a link to it because the copy of it I had posted is edited out (by me) so all there is in there is a blank space. Sorry! Anyway, what was yours? I can't wait to check them out!

God bless America, my home sweet home.

My first post here was called Remember and this is the url. /pip/Forum53/HTML/003124.html I registed here on 2-7-02 and replied replied replied for the first few days, all the while trying to decide on which poem I should use as my 'entrance.' lol Around the same time there was a Valentine's Day poetry contest at my school, so I was working on submissions for that. I finished Remember on the same day that was the deadline for the contest, and when I finished it I knew I had to use this one! It was very special to me at the time. Still is, actually. But then, everything I've written is kinda special to me, even if it isn't very good. I guess that's how it is for us writers! Well, I'll be looking for your responses as well.

You look inside my wild mind
never knowing what you'll find
still I want you all the time
yeah I do
'cause you get me

It was my first post because I didn't have any other one.....well, I take that back, one that I had written in high school back in 76 but who knows where that one went so you got stuck with basically my 2nd attempt ever.  Special meaning? Yes ...
