Here's your assignment! (no groaning please!)

If Ron decided to build a Passions in Poetry Theme Park in Colon, Michigan (Magic Capital of the World), what would the park feature? What would some of the rides be named? What about concession stands - what special poetically named foods would they serve? What about 'characters'? (Yeah I know we ALREADY have plenty here!) What would they be? Shakespeare and Keats roaming around giving out balloons??? Let's plan this out.....just in case...

There would definitely be a clown on stilts 20 ft high, and his name will be Dopey

Then there would be some oompa loompas all around giving out the cake promised to us that really wasn't there

Definitely a loopy loop one named Walt!! And I think there would be a sandwich named after you too:

Rye bread
mustard
5 slices of bologna
tomato slice
onions
lettuce
mustard
Rye bread

How about a haunted house named the Dusk Treader? An it could showcase all the horrifying things in my brain!

And of course, we could have the Lovebug, similar to the tunnel of love, but where each couple drives through beautiful European Vistas in a VW Beetle..

The Poet deVine would be an excellent and huge Ice cream sundae, with letter sprinkles and maybe a haiku written on it with chocolate fudge, YUM YUM!

Christopher would be a good name for the fun house with all the mirrors that make you look funny and stuff..

And I think the Dopey Dope would be an excellent bumper car! You spin the wheel to the right and go flying left and gas is break and vice versa, mwa ha ha... LOL

Those are my ideas...

Abe! I love your ideas...but I think Dusk Treader would be a ride too. Taken only at twilight, it would take the riders to dark and scary places...each car would go off in different directions, then pass each other in the night..the night sounds would be spooky...and someone would reach out and trail a finger along the arm of one of the riders. And when everyone is good and scared, all the cars would converge and be thrust out into the open right into the middle of a carousel ride!!!

Note: Never let a writer design a theme park! LOL

we could have a great roller coaster named Interloper.....

the bounce house for the kids would be called Sunshine........

and a wave pool.....named of course...SEA

I really like the idea of an ice cream named after Poet.....

and there should be a cheese cake named Temptress.....

the game room would be named after our Acies...

Annon...Albert would be the host that no one sees.....only hears....

Janet Marie....resident Butterfly....
she'd flutter around twinkling magic rhyme onto those who pass by

The "LoveBug" tunnel, serenity, like Abe said!

I'd make a Teen roller coster... lots of highs and lows, and you'd look like old men and women by the time you got off!

How about Alicat's Persnikitty Conundrum? Games venue, with booths and stalls offering hand-eye coodination, manual dexterity, and mental skills. The games would range from the traditional ringers and dart/balloon ones to creating poems using magnetics words (large size) on a large metal board, to be judged by other visitors. Also would be the Name Game, where visitors try to associate the pic with the screen name, and memory, where they see one of our poems for 5 seconds and must recite as much as possible correctly. And believe it or not, these games would be honest and prizes would actually be awarded, in contrast to the traditional hawker row at fairs. And, so that contestants wouldn't have to leave the site or lug around their prizes, free locker space would be available for storage...for purses, cameras, and prizes...but no foodstuffs. The rental cost would be pre-figured into the entry ticket price.

Well, I want to come to this park, and there has to be a moonlight ride on a boat, romantic, looking for an island. Once the island is found, everyone on the ride has to play some kind of romantic game.
SInce you can't get to Catalina from there, we could fake that part  LOL

How about having the ride where there is fire all around being serenity blaze, the flying Dumbo ride for kids could have birds and name it littlewing, the Tunnel of Love would HAVE to be called Miseltoe Angel, The snack shacks would be named icebox, Ther would be a train ride with mice named Rat Leader, Dr. Moose1 would be in charge of the petting zoo,Dark_Scythe would be the name of the haunted house, punkrockrobin would be in charge of the music venue (of course), Starsfalling would be the name of the parachute ride, since there has to be a souvenier shop it could be named This Diamond, and the lead character would- without exception- be named Ron.
But then again, tht's just one idiot's opinion.

Yes there would have to be a place for the "Stut". I place where you see people in straight jackets. All the Justin's running around reciting all of their crazy rhymes.

We need a place for poetry wars. Lazer tag if you'd like but the poets have to shoot verse before they shoot the lazer at their targets.

I'd love to visit this place.
