OK Erica, is it Gladiator? Don't think so, but it's a tragic historical (somewhat) movie....

Easy, Cruz, that would be Bond.

Oh and back to mine, the one that time forgot.
1.  Tom Cruise was asked to play the lead, but turned it down because the role was too feminine.
2.  The main character was missing a part (or parts) of his body.

poor dopey can't hang. I know what Cruz's movie is but then again he is sitting at the computer next to me. Come on his hints were "License to..." and the street that the munsters live on. The Bond part is correct by the way but its only part of the title.

Sorry Carly.     I wish more people would try to guess mine.

I'll add another hint-

1.  Tom Cruise was asked to play the lead, but turned it down because the role was too feminine.
2.  The main character was missing a part (or parts) of his body.
3.  The mother of the family in the movie is an Avon lady.

Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day.  Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Acire's is Shakespeare in Love.

I'm not giving the exact time, the movie itself is set in modern day or perhaps eighties-nineties.  But the movie isn't too old, it came out within the last twenty years or so.

OK here's some hints as to what mine is...

1. The main character wants to be a writer.
2. The movie is in retrospect: he grows up to be a writer and is telling a childhood story, which is the plot of the movie.

Sooo, any guesses anyone?
