If I were a flower
I guess Id be something
with thorns,
perhaps not at all something youd want
to hold close to your heart

and yet?

There just may be someone out there
bold and brave enough
to hold this thorn and know
they will not suffer a fatal attraction;
though there could be a few injuries
along the way
to that crystal holding vase.

Ah... a sweet little analogy.  There's nothing wrong with a few thorns---think of it this way, you will never be stolen by someone for any reason other than the most sincere desire to have and hold you in that crystal vase.  It's a security procedure, right?

Nice reading you again Kacy---

LOL, thanks, Bri and Susie. I feel like I just got a big hug and NO ONE squealed 'bout the thorns!

IF you were a flower? You're the whole plant, and this poem...a bloom of you.

Beautiful!!! Who knows but what that one brave one might see past the flaw and make those thorns just fade without a trace! This was really touching!
