She went about it
like love itself,
holding deep, mature tastes
that aged in her eyes.

When she was ready to let go,
she'd breathe without malice,
soft silky smoke
slipping to the ceiling.

Sometimes she'd be at it
until the lights went out,
and shadows traced the walls
in headlights and fences.

Together, falling down
among evening patterns.
I would kiss her in the garden
if she had one.

Come on you two, get organized. Who's going to be the founder of the Mikey Fan Club -- and who the president?

Heh.

Thanks for the praise...
