He knew just how to say it.
He could take the simplest term
and bury its real meaning

in a fog of axioms,
half-forgotten bands of words
both weak and erudite.

A useless, untrained thought
could be pressed to service
for flotsam and poetics.

Formidable in sound.
None dared grasp to scale
his impenetrable music.

Thus the truth
behind the surface
was denied its syllables.

I have no idea what just inspired that.

Grinning like mad.

I'm not sure if your last comment is intended as ironic self deprecation or not--a component of the work? but that's why I adore reading you...

You always have me shaking my head in admiration and glee.
