Has ever a woman, spoken to you
through song and sound
midnight lingerings
just at the tip
of finger play

Has one ever brought you
in through the out door
and back again
just to fall safely
within an embrace
tender and true

Has one ever visioned
everything inside of you
so pure of heart
like driven snow
on a wintry eve

Soft slow fall of hand
to mound of freshly fallen
flurry of passion
In the dark of night
unbridled

I know you as I know myself
a glance in the mirror
sideways
I see you there
smiling, my smile
but your own

Within every single minute
of each passing hour
You are with me
for you are a part of me
from birth,
I do believe

Almost as if
the bud which appears
blooming in my garden
was planted by your own hands

tilled with fresh soil
watered by my eyes
fueled by the Sun itself
and two hearts
beating simultaneously

I study
this "common" flower
intricate in design
a spectrum of every
color, sight and sound
imaginable

I hold in my hand
one rose
delicate as the snow
beauty unforetold

Close to my own heart
to protect me
from the evils
of my own garden

And I smile
inhale it's scent
deep and longing
Eyes closed, dreaming
with hands clasped to chest

And when they open,
I am enlightened
the hands which hold such rose
unmarred by any thorn
pristine

The only remnant left
from this fleeting dreamstate
are velvet petals
falling
from one heart to another
in slow motion freeze frame
of time
eternal

Beautiful words here. I picked up an interesting subtext -- we'll leave it at that.

Sue... If you got any better at this...
These words are indeed some of the softest, and sweetest and most sensual words I have yet to view on this site...
Thank you for sharing them with us.

I am singing Prince now along with other stuff going through my mind...it's good to feel this sort of emotion..love it as usual...there isn't anything that I don't love from you..

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.
