I wish I had the ability to capture
a moment in time, pick it fresh and scented
and press it within the tomb of me
to find one day, forgotten
surprise at the discovery, and renewing
gasp at remembrance

Driving one day, trying to beat rain
a/c giving me the cold shoulder
windows down, with the hope that I won't get drenched.

Two butterflies
monarchs, I believe
courting and playful, in love with each other
and the sunlight as witness (what clouds?)
Lovely in their dance
dipping and swirling - tranced
there seemed a string pulling
one by another, never more than a breath apart
They were delicate...beautiful

And I hit them.

Fervently beseeching my mirror
tell me
tell me

One lone butterfly - tossed asunder
lost and alone
ran off the road, screaming grief

I had to stop
and I cried at the humanity of it all

Played through my fingers, to fro
silky soft to touch
this moment
placed here - just so
pressed, to be remembered

Carelessness never forgotten

Wow, I pictured every word in my minds eye, I was there.

I'm keeping this.

Someone tell me why I've never read you before?!!!!

That was all so real, so soft, yet reality ridden, I am in love with every word of that, and cannot quote for fear of pasting the whole poem like a fool.

Nicole? you have a new fan.

Instant karma's gonna get you.
