My thankful soul gazes in wonderment
at the beauty of this firmament,
laid out before our startled eyes
a wonderous magic, without disguise

The beauty of the frozen lake,
rimmed frosted trees, my breath to take.
A mountain peak behind it all,
a silent snow begins to fall.

A whispered word now floats away,
in puffs of smoke, here as I pray.
For all the glory of this land,
for all the wonders of God’s hand.

a gift for all to cherish and love
a gift from God's loving glove
to honor and respect
'till death us do part

Thank you Martie and JM. It is interesting trying to write with someone else. Having different scheduals made this take some time to come up with. I have written a duet with Hoot_owl_rn before but our styles are very similar. I enjoyed this challenge and am looking forward to trying it again some time.

Marilyn.

This is a beautiful bit of worship here...

and guess? It's way too smooth for me to attempt, (that and I learned my lesson from the Cap and Jan--I was WAY wrong... )

But yes, I agree, this IS certainly a treasure!

Great job you two!

Well, my money is on Marilyn for the first and third stanzas and MS for the second and fourth...

In either case, it's excellent, ladies

ok, so you're halfway there since there are only four to choose from, so the 'odds' math is simple (even for me) maybe you'll win that big ticket, DA.

The ending surprised me... I wasn't expecting anything like that to come around after all the scenery that you set up.  Nicely written, you guys... you worked well together.

Sunday morning seems like the perfect time to bring back this beautiful duet. I know it was a perfect time for me to read it.
