You are the words in my sonnet Your heart breathes life into my rhyme The beating of your heart is The rhythm I use to keep time Your smile lights up each quatrain Tenderness is the theme you inspire You are the words in my sonnet You are the melody of my love’s choir Metronome’s beat with coursing blood My heart feels each second floating by You are the words, the soul of my song You are my reason why Your touch is my symphony Your kiss my tempest tossed You are the words in my poetry Without you I am lost |

Ahh... very intriguing... I know how it is to have a nice muse like this. I just recently got a new one myself that's been pushing the rhymes out of me rapid-fire...  So nice to read from you again, Sharon... a lovely poem, very light reading, for somewhat heavy subject matter. Nice combo... Parasite Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world. |
