That's the room where you were conceived
It's where your mother and I believed
we'd live to be at least a hundred
together as one forever embracing
Our bodies entwined our minds deceived
we tasted love and openly received
the fruits of joy the sighs of passion
together we three became.

That's the room where we grew old
It's where your mother and I lost hold
of the joy and bliss of love in life
together as flame and fuel burning
Our dreams destroyed our hearts now cold
we gag at love and point and scold
eachother casting blame and guilt
together we three survive.

yeah, I feel this one...

I feel it too... I see my parents falling out of love more and more as their problems drive them apart from one another.  They've lost that forgiveness, that mutual understanding that love creates... assuming it was ever there...

It's a sad thing to see.  And you're right... the child will always himself be a living reminder of what once was, of that closeness and intimacy that once existed.

Well written, Frac.

LP:

Thanks for the reply.  Seems my attempt at pulling off dystopia on a personal level was successful.
