Determination is Inborn in Me

Determination is a gift for me;
Discipline is inborn in me.
Nothing is too hard I find
When I think of my parents' load.
They have to work, study, and keep the house.
They do all this for me to learn.
I as their daughter shall inherit their gifts
Of determination, will and discipline.
All are inborn in me and all I can have.

Is this supposed to be a song, Eliza? It reads through like one, I mean, with regards to the large amount of repetition... your message is strong but I think you might have gone overboard on the simplicity of the theme. It seems a bit redundant.

Just my humble opinion... still a very nice poem.

yes it is a song. A song of self positive talk or programming. The repetition is made deliberatly to create familiarity, so I can remember.
