Woken by the sound of an argument.

It must be late as the milk floats
through the streets
of dirty windows and littered doorsteps
guarded by a pint of best
served cold
from cloudless starry sky
high expectations broken
words echo through the walls
of defence flung up
stairs the children cry
but not over spilt
milk floats through the streets
it must be late.

even kittens can kill

Well awesome, Zu.  You know I just love your way of using format as a means of not only beautifying your poetry, but actually enhancing the meaning and giving it an extra bit of depth...

Really neat what you did with the line breaks... I read this about three times just to savour it.  Cool stuff, Zu.

Thanks for the reply, to be honest I hadn't taken any time to sit back and look at this one, I just posted it straight away but I'm glad that I haven't really touched it.
