once was love
mixed up
between one and three
like lemonade
could be sweet
always sour
it might be
that love wasn't always ment
to be the subject of manipulative
actions
but instead of acting childish
drinking and spilling the stickyness all down your face
you could
not that you will
act more adult
like you actually belong here
maybe you should drink tea
instead

Morning mist clings to my face, and my soul opens up to you......

awesome, Riley.  Just what I was hoping to get from this one... lemonade as a reference to age.

It's cool how you write about growing up when you're still 13 years old yourself.  Don't let yourself grow up too fast, girl...

Awesome work, and welcome to Sanctuary!

Good job!! You do have a wise outlook on life....

Now a question: What made you italize certain words? I've used this method myself so I wonder why you chose those words to make different.

LP: Me growing up to fast...hehe, don't worry about that

PoetDeVine: I think I chose to make those words different because they are almost like thoughts...set aside from the poem, almost to make it in a smart aleic ( sp ) tone, sometimes....othertimes they are just thoughts.

Thanks for replying
