In dreaming she’s drifting
Traveling back to when she was young
Till being and seeing
Freshness of life that’s just begun
Where running and playing
Would fill the entire summer of days
Sun rising and setting
Were but beautiful nature displays.

Then she wakes
And joy breaks
No longer is she the young,
Just seeing
And fleeing
Existence is barely done.

It is sad that we so often have dreams of a state of happiness, and then awake to find ourselves in a state of misery... it's almost like the mind teasing us, giving us a temporary peek at the things we desire or lack in our lives, and then snapping us awake in the morning just when our desire is within our reach.

As a child I used to dream that I had a Sega Genesis in my room with Sonic the Hedgehog on it.  Just before I turned it on to play, I'd wake up.  Every time.

Hey, that's the video game generation for you.

It's amazing the effect ice can have on the world.
