It is time for me to leave behind
The season of my displeasure
the turning of the leaves heralds
the awakening of winters measure

Cooler nights will beckon me forth
The chill becomes my nighttime friend
Cocooning into the shelter of me
I long now for summer’s end

Soothing are the sounds of fall
Leaves rustle to the ground to nest
Longer nights and filtered lights
Seek haven in my winter’s rest

Reflect upon the months ahead
Saving strength for a spring renew
Sip the cup of season’s change
Tasting now of autumn’s brew

funny, I've always seen Autumn as a renewal, and not the beginning of an end...it appears that your "dry spell" is over, Devine Lady--

I wanna dance
amidst the leaves
dance so fast
I can't be seen--
spinning like the autumn leaf--
floating
in the joyful breeze--

and thus, I kiss your sweat from brow...

(You inspire me)
love this.
love you.

Autumn! My favorite season!

Your block's ending with gale force,
yet gently.

This is great work, Sharon. When do you want another open mic night? I don't have ICQ anymore, but I suppose I could get it again if we're gonna have one.
