I am overcome
with insistance
of yearning
to jump
freely
from myself
into
abandon--
be damned
the cautionary
rail!
Stifle
the warnings
of hands in cart...
They melt
the sprout
of wings
through
a lack
of faith,
and shift
the waters
I walk,
allowing me
to sink...

I need to fall--
if only to discover
if the ground
be my demise
or perhaps?

I could have flown...

Step back K, step back!!!
I'm gettin' that "edgy" feelin' now, dang it!
I have this theory . . . that this comes from an ancient part of the brain, a part that was important when we were swingin' through the trees.  Edges weren't edges then, just spaces between branches . . .
Go ahead . . . tell me I'm nuts . . . everybody else does.

Love Krawdad's theory.  Think I agree.  Yep, it's an edge.  Step off, don't step off.  Either way, it can be the scariest thing ya ever do.

I'm pleased. Very pleased.  I am so glad I came back to PiP so I could read works like this!  Fabulous!

Oh! I love this Serenity. Something I can identify with..
I love this:

You've never written a bad poem. Or, rather, you've never written a bad poem that you've posted!

You ROCK, S'en. Just out and out rock.
