A Message and a Prayer

To all my friends, family and even those who dare call themselves my enemy,
I have both a message and a prayer:

The message: is that I’ve carried a great burden around inside of me;
angered by a great injustice undeserving of any one, group or country,
I feel as though I should lash out and destroy the beast that tries to devour us,

And yet, I harbor no hate or animosity.
All I ask is that I be left to fulfill my destiny
undeniable, the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

And that no threat or force or greater deity
can ever tear down a fortress built on love, respect and harmony.
It is with a heavy, but open heart, that I have come to know this.

The prayer: is that everyone in the world can also know this kind of love and be healed by it.
Then hate and violence, and its persuasive evil
cannot long endure and shall ultimately perish from the earth.

Amen to this. I look at that man when he is pictured on television and I can honestly say I feel no hate. Only loathing for this terrible act. And we must all pray to God for a way out of this that does not bring more horrible acts. Joyce

More people like you Gene, and we wouldn't need prayers like this quite so often..
