Yawning a mouth out onto the feral lawn,
swishing thighs dash into waves
of jungle blades tickling
pink lucid childhood, still rugged
as my four day stubble.
I long to laze in bedded bliss,
eyes shut to the world's quests,
but
There are itches
I need to scratch.

Outside stagnates
a fervour fragrance;
an aphrodisiac
manhandling nature into frenzy
sprouting hyper
little boys so eager
for their acne puberty,
their rite of passage,
every holiday
a riot of passage!

Through echoes serene
the cancer queen,
pygmy tractor, strafes
with a new leash of life.
More jaded rasps
as the blades caress
this cumbrance season.
with a war of mutilation.

Slaps and back drafts
of seared harvest
leave me coated
squirming as
a little grass rat in pollen hell.
As last stem bows to my charge,
my skin sighs languished
in phlegmatic victory.

"difference between love and comfortis that comfort's more reliable and true
Brutal and mocking but always therea crutch for enmity's saddest glare"

gawwwd i love the way your mind works...
what a cool poem....
your imagery is matched only by your vocabualry........

and as for this line........

"There are itches
I need to scratch."

welcome to my world baby  lol
somethings just get under our skin

I'm not right ... you're not wrong ...
Still I dont know ... what this love of ours is built upon.

"Through echoes serene
the cancer queen," Those lines really got to me. I liked this poem  a lot!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Sharon, thanks for the offer but not a chance.

Jan, wow that is a first some one likes the way I think LOL Thanks for boosting my ego even more.

Javier, sorry if those lines cut deep. I guess it is strange the way a coined phrase can connect with people. Nature of poetry I guess. tHank you for reading and replying.

Martie, when cutting a lawn becomes a channel it is best to challenge that anger into poetry. THank you for your wonderful comments.

Wow, well that's just widened my vocabulary somewhat..   Yeah, and once I understand it, it's certainly an enjoyable piece..

once again you lead my mind astray along many "channels"...

but when I took my anger out on the lawn, it was with a rotary mower, and my sneakers took on the green ink of new death....

so, there is yet another way to look at things...

well done my Bri-Poe
