There is no darkness here
only the twilight of another day
softly spoken night words of love
are all you’re allowed to say.

Bring your heart into this quiet
and lay down upon my breast
breathe slowly and enjoy
the solitude of this rest.

Worry not about the morrow
it will be there when you wake
put yourself into my hands
you give and I will take.

Give me your harried worries
give me your day of stress
I’ll take your cares and stroke them,
soothe them with my caress.

In perfect harmony, we’ll sit
and wait til your soul is eased
then with your smile, I’ll know
that you have been well pleased.

WELCOME!!!!

Wonderful!

What a beautiful poem! *S* Talk about feeling welcome... (I think I'll just curl up in a corner for a while and hide from the boss. *S*)

Thank you all. I wanted something nice for the first post in our new Sanctuary forums. And now that I know this won't bump me up unduly, I'm a happy camper! :D

Such a beautiful welcome, Sharon! I always get exited every time I see you've posted a poem, and I'm never disappointed.
