There are others, Just like me, Who are frightened By things they cannot see. They run and hide. Don't show their fears. Nor will you ever see The thoughts behind their tears. Their mind does wander, And rejects all love. They question things about them, Even the stars above. In sorrow their heads are bowed. Silent are their dreams. You will never come inside them, To listen to their screams. A shadow must come to them, Before they will know, That there is more to life Than the sun, the rain, and snow. |

But tonight I did and I feel better already. This place is not only a family of friends but a network of support and gentle hearts. I enjoyed your poem very much amusemi. |

*sigh* I know the feeling...I too am very much afraid to open up to love...I have had so many games played on me that I do not trust so easily anymore...but still, for some reason, as I weave my fantasies, I feel hope that someday someone will desire to show me that love can be trusted to be honest and true...Hold on to hope, dear one...and try to have a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY..**big hugs** one never knows what the future holds.  Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Oh man, I'm okay! I am just boycotting Valentine's Day in my own way. This is an old poem. Like 1980 something.... Just wanted those folks out there who are struggling to know that some of us identify. Love you guys!!Kat |

Too weird...I posted the last message just as you two (BluesSeranade and Startime) were posting..Big hugs to you both. I am so glad others can identify. Being open is very tough for me, as well. I don't even open completely up here. Don't know if I know how. But that's okay...it's my quirk! Been that way since I was a kid. Even being anonymous I am always afraid. Friends (even family) who think they know me only get parts of the story. Like I have to keep pieces of the story or I will loose them. I have a knack for being very loud and obnoxious and people then get fooled into thinking they know all there is to know. [This message has been edited by amusemi (02-14-2002 01:12 AM).] |
