The Red Rose

The redness of the rose
represents all my love
It is steadfast and pure
as my love for you

Blood red is my heart beat
each drop filled with passion
Filling my veins with life
as your love fills my heart

Deep red are my feelings
of undying desire
Ever reaching outward
to feel your strong embrace

Red, the taste of my kiss
melting into your love
Drinking of the sweet wine
that delights our senses

Bright red are burning fires
that flame for your soft touch
A need to be consumed
by the pleasure we share

My love, a bright red rose
showing the depth of me
Take me into your arms
and kiss me with red love

You arrange the most delightful bouquet
with your words Startime.
They are always so lovely.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Now that was a Valentine's poem - loved it!

Karen, you write sooooo beautifully. And roses are such lovely flowers. I wish you a garden of roses right outside an open window in the Springtime mist. Happy Valentine's day.
