To be his Flower

I watch his hands,
the way he touches the ivy.
He strips off its skirt
leaving it with just a cluster of green
at the top,
then he warms the naked stem,
stroking it until it is pliant
and won’t break.

He curves it into a meadow
he has made from green things,
wraps it around until,
meandering it reaches up
and clings to a cluster of flowers.
Even a tiny blue bird
sits at the base on a piece of bark
and looks down into the moss.

The daisies spring up
as if rain had soaked their roots
and touched just so by light have let
their color spill from the container.

His giant hands
are only a breeze in spring,
wafting across a magic place
where creation breathes.

As I watch I think
I’d like to live in this garden,
but even more,
I’d like to be his flower

one of my most faves of yours...so sensual... so "hands on" ...and hey..who can resist a man with dirty hands *L*
but then I have a thing for Landscapers  (haha)
Happy Valentines Day sweets.....I'll be thinking of you tomorrow...think of all the love and smiles you'll have in your van.

This is so very sensuous, Martie...It makes me wonder if flowers have feelings

Martie, I don't blame you for this. How can you resist a man who works hard with his hands, and can still be gentle enough to tend the flowers?
