I sorted my needs into dreams
and kept them boxed there in wait for you
to make come true with understanding.
This is the short of me combined
with the length of my words
and I know not what I say
because sleep has taken over.
I sorted my needs into dreams
and now they died from your neglect.
You said I could trust you with them
but now they've passed on in your wake of naught.
I am often still a girl
because you cannot accept me as a woman yet.
Your loss
my control of my life
but why can't you find that rhythm of honesty
I have worked so hard to keep?
Because the fear in your eyes
has rotted into your soul
and I fear you are beyond my help
so may I give you over to the only one I trust, Sir?
May I give you over to God in hopes that He can find your true path
because the fear and scars in my own eyes
has rotted into our love, Sir
and I know that He will show you a different view
and put me back on mine.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.

I can certainly say, Jenn, that I read this title first one way, and by the end of your poem, another way...

great title! Wonderful thoughts!

I have to go with Sunshine on this one. . . it's definitely a different way of looking at this. . .

and, you do it, as always, with your usual depth and range of feeling and emotion. . .

well done. . .

Your title grabbed my attention and your work grabbed my imagination!
Well done!

That title is so tricky! I thought this would be about something totally different! Yet, I am no less satisfied by the actual meaning! Excellent poetry!

Yes, Temptress, your title captured my attention. And your poem brilliantly captured my heart. I know that God would be delighted if many women would just throw Him their corrupted husbands and let Him fill their hearts with wonderful joys of a new start.

It may seem unChristian to many but Christ sets us free, in Love! It's true! When we make a total release of all pain and sorrow and accept our freedom with Total Love in our hearts, all joy is waiting. It's something to talk with God about.
