In retrospect of remember
of how it used to be
quick glance over shoulder
past tense, you and me

good bye said and learned
in the proper form of speech
a message in a bottle
washed upon my beach

cryptic words and symbols
in a language no longer utilized
besides I didn’t care what it said
how could you be surprised?

communication outdated and rejected
your useless terminology
nothing more than lies
gone unread by me

This has a kind of brooding regret that makes one want to read whatever it was that went unread.

Lovely as always SEA.

Susan,
I always knew you were a smart woman...and sensitive too! What more could a guy ask for? You do know how and when to move on and I like that.

In notes unread, go thoughts unheard.  I liked the deafness of this.

Thank you.

Oh...i like this so much, dear Susan...past tense is required in life, to know & enjoy the present and hope & wish for the future...i'm glad the blue ink is slowly, but surely drying out...making way for a different one....

Funny how to read an unread message still takes some need of "wanting to do" so...

How did I almost miss this?  I NEVER miss your work!
However, after reading it I felt strangely sad.  Like I wanted to kiss it and make it better ... ya know?

love the defiance and attitude in this...
very cool write of strength and resolve girlie...stick back in the bottle and sink-sail the old ghosts out to sea
