Cupid’s Antics

How innocent is his charming smile
gazing with a twinkle in his eyes
Is the path he leads one to beguile
or will it be true love will arise

A little imp is what some call him
just stirring up trouble with his bow
Some say he does it all on a whim
wondering when true love he’ll bestow

This time of year he flies round with joy
searching for the heart to take his aim
Arrows of passion is what he’ll employ
setting a fire from one single flame

With grins of mischief he takes a shot
knowing the result of his actions
Romance brings desires once forgot
when cupid gives you new attractions

His strike has you sending silly cards
and sweet chocolates that delight
With flowers that say more than regards
and love poems all written to invite

Cupid’s antics designed to excite
as all humans succumb to his charms
Sighs of love will fill this special night
from dreamers embraced in loving arms

Karen - a'hhhh, Cupid that little guy with the big arrow. Sweetheart of a poem, like it a lot. Very smooth and moves in the groove...

It is a beauty Karen...Worth every minute
of effort....Yes,  he does those silly
shots that make us all act very lovey
and different...   Personally,  I wear
a Kevlar Jacket....Can't get me...ouch...

Well penned!  Personally I think that Cupid should wear horns rather than wings
Your poem is just too cute!

Take care,
