I see you, but do you see me?
Tell me why, can't it be?
My heart to you I have sent.
Only to have it broke and bent.
I was a woman once full of life.
Until you jabbed me with the knife.
You dug it deep, as you could go.
Your love for me you never showed.
When I was up, you knocked me down.
Flat on my face, straight to the ground.
You thought you had me put in my place.
As I could see in the smirk on your face.
But while I was being pushed down.
There are some revelations I have found.
My heart you thought you had turned cold.
But I'll tell you this and I'll be quite bold.
Your love's not worth what I have to give.
For you alone I would never live.
I pull that knife straight out of my heart.
And with these words we shall forever part.
Here's the knife you gave to me.
Where's the smile I used to see.
Now it's time for you to know.
I have many more places to go.
For you see I have lots of friends.
Who love me for who I am until the end.
No more of your abuse will I take.
A new life for myself I'll begin to make.
For somewhere there's a man for me.
Who sees the true beauty of who I can be.
So close your eyes and hold your breath.
And when they open, I'll have left.
With a smile wrapped upon my face.
With all my love, beauty, and grace.
For now I have set myself free.
From all of your wicked misery.
Your heart's the one who's turned cold.
And will continue to stay until you get old.
But my heart is so full of life.
And one day I'll make a wonderful wife.
So don't touch me, even once more.
Or you'll find yourself upon that floor.
I am woman make no mistake.
And I choose who of my heart partakes.

Peaches
P.S. I know it's been awhile.I've had the flu and some other things going on.This just came to me at three in the morning.I've missed all of your works and am now going to go and read some.Take care.

Peaches--Too many are knocked down...some can never get up again, some are made stronger.  If this is a true poem, I applaud you, either way, well done!

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Peaches, this is so very sad, but I am so happy you had the courage to stand up and push him away, for you are a very special and loving person, and you deserve so much better than that, you deserve the greatest happiness and trust! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Peaches, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Martie:Thanks so much. This is not about me but I too have ednured a different type of abuyse and have stood my ground.I have seen this happen in my family and it just tears me up to see it go on.If this helps just one person it's worth the effort of writing it.Thanks again.

Noah:Thanks for your support. You always know how to cheer me up. I believe you are one of the many angels sent to me. For without my angelic friends the majority of my heart would be empty.

HI peaches~  This was such a nice write.
There is so much strength and self assurance
in your poem.  For some people it is the
thrill of the chase, or perhaps they don't
have the capacity to love or be loved completely.

Thank you for these inspiring words!

Peaches...these are the words of a woman who
is now a survivor...no longer a victim...
Keep strong...and your life will ever so
greatly grow in many wonderful ways...
