The river stopped its mighty flow.
There was clay, baked and cracked.
Skeletons dried in the sun--
strength remains where loving lacks.

A trickle, where a torrent ran...
fickle fate of season's sand.
The rains in pound on mountains' plain
has carved new paths on earth's terrain.

Shore the levies!
Hold life back.
Drops of rain,
fulfilling lack...
Snows in melt
from North up high
watching tides
of river rise.

I built my home on stilted legs
to watch the banks of river beg.

Serenity...like the (no pun) flow of this...
Reminds me of our great floods down the
mighty rivers...

I'm not a ghost, but I'll certainly give this a "B U M P" on up to the top. LOL!  Enjoyed this, Karen.
