Sipping Familiar

Sometimes silence can be a distraction to ordinary moments
Yet, a different kind of cry to the blatant air
Tonight she's taking advantage of the stillness around her
She's holding the urge to reminisce the memories she wears...

She has within her the collection of moments time has given
The familiarity of his heart offered when the rain screamed her name
Though he shelters her from the steady water and it's constant drip
She would still care even if it never rained upon her again...

In the center of quiet you'll find her sipping familiar once more
Taking her sweet time not to dismiss a single act
She's taking the long way home to his seraphic face
Clinging to the high feeling the silence has brought back...

Sipping familiar she recalls patience and how time made it's stand
Fear then replaced with desire to reach where she's never been
The only one to ever complete her so wounded soul
And, now she fights to control cravings the hours brought then...

For it is certain she has loved in this lifetime before
But, with comfort on the winds one can expect things to change
She's never been this dedicated to allow something good to just be
Knowing the past attached them both to a territory already claimed...

It is all in a touch and loved so much
And, sipping familiar so that the feeling will stay
It's in the eyes that she tries not to stare too long into
Afraid the delay to look on will give her away...

Good Lord, WOMAN! You write so well! I love the style you write in and the power with which you ponder things.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.
