For You on Valentines Day If I could give you what I wanted to for Valentines Day It would not be a bouquet of roses that would wither and be thrown away It would not be something as simple as a box of candy Nor would it be a bottle of intoxicating Brandy Our love will be enough to get us both high I will not promise you forever for it is not mine to give I can only promise you that our love will always live It will not be a love that only lives in the darkness of night But one that flourishes in the daylight The light of our love will shine to humanity I will give you my arms to hold you tight Together we will live our lives to their fullest height Thoughts of you will be the only thing on my mind As our lives, our minds, and our futures become intertwined Our love will be warmer than the sun high in the sky For Valentines Day I give you my heart Completely and unconditionally from the start To have and hold To days long beyond our growing old © icyheart 02/09/02 |
