Alone With My Thoughts A mist hangs over the ocean, hiding warmth of the sun I’m filled with so much emotion, so empty and undone Hearing the silence around me, I sit on weathered log My heart is not totally free, it drifts like morning fog With hot tears running down my face, I reach arms across time I’m wanting so much to erase, pain of my thoughtless crime When walking the empty shoreline, left alone with my thoughts There is so much I can’t define, of inner battles fought Karen Torbiak 2002© Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Sometimes I wish I had a thought recorder and I think "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?" (Lots of arguing going on in there.) So I am never alone with my thoughts, there's always the other voices in there! Enjoyed, Karen!  |

Truly beautiful, Karen... seems to me one of the problems with those inner thoughts is that it's always self-castigation that we perfect... that part's easy. It's the opposite that I only seem to remember when I'm with someone I love... Carol |
