Was  fate, destiny, or just chance?
Did the earth spin to align souls?
Has the moon shined in both a glance?
Can love, true love be bound to hold.

I walk this path in dark, not light.
The clutch of fog chilling my bones.
Shivers swarm over me in fright
as time takes sadly somber tones.

When the dark of day replaces light
and the moon of night shines pure
Love does fleetingly take to flight
as two hearts once again beat sure.

For night does then give rise to stars
and stars give the  heavens to earth.
As all things are once born to Mars
and true love again does give birth.

Birth brings the shimmer in soft eyes
as dawn again covers the moon.
While softest caress brings soft sighs
from hearts that under a moon swoon.

Very beautiful and romantic...as usual, Barry.  For some reason, the moon is usually associated with romance.
You did this very well, indeed!
