The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-02-07 05:02 PM

This kind of spontaneously wrote itself after a difficult dream..

He snuck behind me in the dark
while my back was turned in loving
He pulled his sword, he stabbed me deep
and I never saw it coming.

I looked at him dazed and confused
Why did he do such thing to me
He claims he had no choice at all
together-we weren't meant to be.

Twas just false love and pseudo need
that made him call me to his side
Just a mistake, surely I saw
it was a waste of time to cry.

Well with his swords enlightenment
I surely grew to understand
that loving him with all my soul
was not enough to please this man.

Still there are days I hear his voice
as if a phantom on the wind
it calls ever so quietly
and begs me to come home again.

Don't you listen!
Well done for a spur of the moment thing, indeed!

Gosh, Sandra, this is a horrible dream!
Sometimes I write about them the minute I wake up.

Obviously this knight wasn't the one three doors down.
I try to keep a happy thought before drifting away
though sometimes difficult ...
I do wish you that happy thought.

Tough write...but very deep.  It's good to set it free.

It doesn't always work even when we want it to with all of our heart...and yes it does feel like a betrayal...James

Amazing, Sandra.. this is so well-written.. but then, that doesn't amaze me coming from u.. it's just the total write that's amazing

(sometimes these dreams are real, aren't they?)

Wishing you happier dreams from now on

Yikes, Sandra! That is definitely not the man you want in your dreams. Write him right out of your mind. I will send peaceful thoughts on a moonbeam to you tonight.

Sandra

Very deep write and it certainly is horrible when you are betrayed, either in your dreams or not.  Nicely done!
