Little Melly's Cradlesong

~*Marge Tindal*~

Dolly sleeps in slumber deep
as Melly stands the guard
Mom's are like that, yes they are
though sometimes it's very hard~

From the smile on Dolly's lips
it should be easy to tell
She's in The Cave Of The Good Dreams
where nothing but sweetness dwells~

So stand down little guardian
your Dolly is in good hands now
One sweet angelic kiss is placed
upon this baby's brow~

Prayers sung in lullaby
will keep her through the night
God will keep this angel safe
until the dawn makes light~

Marge, I have a good friend who's expecting a little girl in about a month.  I'd love to print some of these out for her, if it's ok.

Ahhhhh....this is so fantastic and the drawing is beyond precious. You have got to write that book! Our kids are all grown and we have no grandbabies yet, but I'd buy it for myself.  :-)

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!

WOW reminds me of early times. I kept my dolls untill I was sixteen or so. Didn't play with them anymore of course, but I never seemed to get myself throwing them away either.

How precious! Children are adorable when they play. They almost always bring a smile to my face.

Marge-
Well, you already know I love this,
but it never hurts to say it twice...

My Friends~
Without the inspiration of my friend June's beautiful artwork, this piece would not have 'come-to-life'~

I thank you, June, for sharing the delightful artistry with me so that my pen could be inspired~

We ARE going to do that book of poetry ... perhaps focusing on those nostalgic places where the 'child' in all of us lives~

Thanks to each of you for your encouragement~
Love n' hugs~
