A State of Disarray

An empty pen defies the poet's mind
Gleefully abstaining from the art
Frustrating the screaming muse
Who pleads for voice, for validation.
At a loss for the well's run dry
I, too, cry melancholy stupor.
For where may thoughts go, I panic.
Rhyme, reason, useless without a quill
Alas, I churn without my utensil.
Creeping through purse, breaking nails,
Finding treasures (tangents easing my muse)
Only to discover that screaching call again.
Voila!!  Eyeliner becomes a vessel tool
For no thick, smudging lipstick will do!!

This is a cool poem, Amusemi....I have written poetry with every type of writing implement possible...including lipstick.
Much enjoyed!

amusemi - use every utensil handy when the thought of a poem comes to mind. I've even used coal when I had nothing else... I liked the write...

Larry-you continue to crack me up!!

Madame-where ever do you find those graphics?  They are so cool!!  I still haven't braved the creation of one in a piece.

And Bill (the gypsie King)  you are so wonderful to me...thanks...P.S.  There's got to be a story behind the coal thing...care to share?

So clever.  Enjoyed this, Amusemi.
When the ink well runs dry, it becomes
an obsession, almost to put some more in it, if you know what I mean.
