Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-02-06 09:46 PM

Listening...

I remember having watched
you cry

The sobbing
so infinite ~
the wracking pain,
so undeniable ~
the loss,
horrendous

Or so we thought.  Later, you stood
tall in my eyes once again,
probably taller

Although you walked as if missing
someone
important

As if you waited to hear
their voice
on the wind

One day laughter came back to
your demeanor, it was hearty,
and deep

Just not as profound as the loss
you still felt
although it remained
unspoken

Later, much later, I knew your
loss
when I became bereft of you,

Then later, I heard my missing
laughter, although I yearned to hear yours
join in

And I walk, purposefully,
hopefully standing straight,
as it befits your memory,

but still, I listen for your
voice
on the wind

this hauntingly beautiful write is proof beyond a doubt that you have heard the whispers.
Outstanding tribute to them both K...truly touching.
You do them proud as you do them justice.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Karilea, this is so very sad and heartfelt; I too can relate to these tears and I can't help but always claim to believe I hear the voices in the wind while I just try to let it go and know they are always smiling and looking over me! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much, this is a true gem! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

When I think I've read your best, I have only to open another offering from your pen to sit in awe once again. This is excellent!

I've always been fond of your poetry, but, sometimes you pen something so profound and I know that I've found a gem.
My goodness, you've touched me with this.  I wish that I had written this, for, it echoes a part of my life.

This is a keeper

Take care,

You Passionate Poets...you leave me in wonder.  Some thought crosses my memory banks and I think...perhaps just one person might know this feeling and what do I find?  That I am never alone, nor misguided, in my wish to share something that has lived with me these many decades...

poetry is a bridge, my friends, and all I see it doing is making one huge bridge around the world.  Thank you all so much for sharing your feelings with me....
