You come and go
in and out of my life
like so many rainy days
I am the last raindrop
forgotten as soon
as the sun appears
You have filled your jars
with a million other downpours
It is of no consequence
to you
that I am lost
for you believe
that I will rain again
When your vessels are empty
and thirst keeps you weak
dream of me
As I am wept
from sky to ground
water morphs to crystal
and shatters at your feet
One last raindrop
you couldn’t save
for later

Even one lonely raindrop shares hope.
It can clean the glass of despair,
remove the bitterness of hate,
feed moments of posibilities
and be the path of something new ...

... but most of all, with the right conditions,
it can create a rainbow!!
I am looking forward to seeing that side of you.
Until then .... let it pour.

*sigh* such despair in each raindrop...such pain and loneliness just wanting to be charished..I too, like Craig, hope to see the rainbow that is so beautiful when the sun shines through the raindrops...**big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

This has an underlying message to never take things for granted which, unfortunately, too many do...

very good!

Very well written. I look forward for more from you. Cheers.

It brings me joy to see this poem, similar a bit in the metaphor I used in Hailstorms.  Thank you for your kind comments.  Nature is beautiful and reflects human nature nicely in its weather.
Hugs,
Joe
