A Poet Weeps

Feel the tension in words expressed
The eyes of the poet weeps relentlessly
When verses come together so distressed
The poet sits alone in tears silently

Within the depths of the poet's heart
Comes laughter, humour, sadness and sorrow
Metaphorising, philosophising, sharing, giving
Whilst the heart bleeds to be heard, crying

Truth made into sentences, explaining
Trembling as time gathers pace, wiping the tears
The poet lives in a cocoon of poems
Trying to understand every past moment

Tragedy strikes as the memories return
The poet rises above the gloom of life
Then falls again into pain's shadow
As the next teardrop emerges, a new word begins

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

Kathleen, the hopes and dreams we share as poets come with our tears.

Victoria, SEA, and Enchantress, your words are very comforting, thank you all. Poets weep and laugh together here at Passions.

Your words are so well spoken and captured what lies within most of us.
Its like a saying I knew when I was younger that a clown is always smiling and making others laugh when realy he is hiding and crying within wishing someone would bring him to smile.

Thank you for your words.

call it what you want.. writers block etc. but i think it al boils down to a lack of inspiration.. feeling the tension in expressed words..
well done.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Daniel, this is soooooo beautiful, this one tugged at my heartstrings, it's so sad but so true! May we all together embrace in harmony and compassion and let our tears flow into rhyme to find joy and hope within each one to our hearts! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is gorgeous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Daniel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
