you brought a swan as your champion
and wore white with lace
to adorn the shyness
of your eyes

I brought a falcon as my legion
and wore black leather
with dark ink
my skin was worldly

we danced our hours with unintention
you were afraid to sooth my edges
and bless me pure
lest I would deflower you

and wear your scent
on my beard
as a badge of instinct
with only perhaps a memory

when morning came
you whispered your spell poems
and dressed in your leather garter
you left the lace off your charms

gave them to the morning eyes
with the glory of their bareess
you made white sleeves for me
and bid me stay as your poet knight

darkness with a sword but without the urge
to impale another for their shimmer
or kill their swan for my sport
and of my falcon you asked?

he is white in feather
standing tall on yon roost
his shadow casts long the ground
to protect the innocent white eyes

of your soot feathered champion

Wearing leather dancing upon velvet....vivid images for the eyes to enjoy....

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows

Marge, thank you
it is intended to show the circle
of change when forces or lovers
exchange places
unintending to change that is..

As you have graced these blue pages with over 2000 poems, there is still the chance (or the certainty ) that I might find unread poems and this one was new for me. Spectacular write, dear D., written 12 years ago, wow. Your talent is very very solid, you see.
