This one was
a china cup
filled with him--
I drank him up.

Here is remnant
of a plate--
too bad he came
for supper late.

A saucer too,
in shades of blue--
too fragile--it
was seldom used.
I never saw
a need for it.
Nothing of mine
would ever fit.

Here is just
some colored glass--
bits of sparkle
from the past
amid the crystal
filled with lead.
Chards of tears
cut till I bled.

I'll toss them all
onto the floor.
Where once was few,
are many more.
I'll trance for pattern--
until I see
the lines that draw
the best of me.
I'll glue them
to a sturdy wood,
and fit them where
I think they should
and then I'll grout
me into place,
each piece of you
make my new face...

all the tiny broken bits
in salvage of a life amiss.

Methinks you go too far ...
You need not be changed ... ever!
You are just fine!
Believe that.

Thanks all, and especially Marge, because I honestly thought I was being optimistic! The don't need to change idea, would be nice, but, alas, change does not worry about whether I need it or not. It's gonna happen with or without my permission!

just an idea of creating a new pattern, from old ones...no worries good poet people. You guys are wonderful!

(big hugggssssssss) Such sadness fills your words, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you! (sad sigh) Things are meant to eb broken sometimes, but there will always be times and joys that are bound to last forever! Keep the remnants of these memories as artifacts, and cherish the priceless treasures that will follow! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my heart is with you always! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
