Crimson roses
fail to bloom
it's cold in February
and chocolate can be bitter
when love is denied
like an unopened
valentine

talk about impact in succinctity...
this stings like a slap in winter....may i join you in the feeling the same way?
Valentines day bites
well done Poetess Cat...so much said in so few perfect words. Love the sarcasm of the title and the tie in of chocolates.

You speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in rhymes.
My body aches to breathe your breath ... your words keep me alive.

You know I love brevity, especially when the message is this powerful.  I wish this wasn't such a sad time of year for you.  Holidays seems to be like a magnifying glass on loneliness.  Here's hoping all you desire soon finds you, Sandra.

catalinamoon - this is sad, but so well describes your thoughts. Sometimes it takes a while to be happy, I'm not sure...

yes, it is sad, but it is also you and you share and that's what is important, Sandra.

Sandra...this is lovely, but I'll take my chocolate bitter, rather than no chocolate at all...and I'll take my valentines unopened because I can always open them myself.

You'll be my Valentine oké???

add sugar my sweet
chocolate requires sweetness
sweetness is your love
