She calls to him in darkness,
“Turn around”,
Feeling all the hopelessness,
She cries to him in her tears,
“Turn around”,
Come back and relieve my fears,
She hopes for him on cold nights,
“Please don’t go”,
With thoughts of their silly fight
That caused him to walk away,
“Please don’t go”,
Now she would beg him to stay;
But she does know he left town.

Made me think of the old wisdoms ...

"you dont know what you got till its gone"
or perhaps
"we only want what we cant have"

those last lines have a stinging impact poet sir ....
well done.
