The Red Rage

During each month of of her adult years
comes a week that brings a woman to tears
she badly needs a sympathetic ear

she doesn't feel sick, but she doesn't feel well
she's tired and grouchy and just wants to yell
during this week, she feels like hell

it starts when we're teens
we need to let off some steam
and so, with our parents...we make a big scene

no advice sounds sage
during this wicked week of red rage
when a woman's temper takes center stage

but believe it or not, theres an end to this page
though she does have to pay with advancing age
one thing she will never miss is red rage

Lyra,
I gotta say...no maybe not! This never described my wife. Okay, not this one anyway! There...I said it. All things considered...I should probably tell you what a lovely poem this is.

Madame - your words say much, the color of this poem does also. I am sympathic to your plight...

Thanks so much, Larry...I'm glad that this never happens to your wife.  It must be very nice for you.  Of course, I never cause anyone any trouble either.
Thanks for your reply
