In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-02-04 11:20 AM

And I know,
I know you
What I feel in my dreams
How you feel
We have connection
Yet our path
Has parted so many times

No words could reveal
What you mean to me
How you have trembled my heart,
You speak of my love
Whispering to flesh
The need of passion
You feel
In melodies of
Romantic impulses
And emotion

I speak your name
Far beyond the boundaries
Of scarlet oceans,
Woven fantasies,
Xanadu memories,

Memories I tuck away
In boxes gathering dust
And heartache
In some old forgotten attic
Is this what it comes too?
Of some other time, of long ago years?

Your beauty haunts
My days upon this earth
In soft spoken verses

Yet, I can never say good-bye

and time will slip away

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart

time may pass, but the love and the memories remain and keeps us warm, as does your beautiful poetry. Touches my heart every time.
Thank you for that Poetess L.

yes, I sure know this feeling, Lauren, it's a sad one at best....

Lauren, sounds like there are too many of us here with this sad memory. This is so good, so well expressed, and so heartbreaking.

How can sadness be portrayed so beautifully?  Yes, this could also be my memories.  You've done very well with this one, my friend.  Excellent work!  *hugs*

How well you have expressed this, Lauren.. sad as it is.. time does allow things to slip.. quietly.. into a place that the heart can handle..

I can relate.. all too well.

Lauren,  you pretty much penned a whole pile
of truth and lots of feelings...don't attics
ever get full of letters and things??
NOPE...cause that is where I would have put
mine...  Nicely done Lauren...enjoyed..

Very poignant poem Lauren, and you spoke such truth of wasted time in heartache or sadness.  Well done in only the style that is yours alone.
