Captain Candy King

One, two, three, four
See those ants crawl on the floor
Going slow just to and fro
To and from Mom's sugar bowl.

A, B, C and D; E and F and also G
Grandpa come and read to me
Stories about what you did see
When you sailed the seven seas
Tell me all the things you'd do.

And when a big tiger got loose at the zoo
How you chased and raced him too
But with a great big bowl of milk
He came right back to you.

Tell me when you climbed that mountain
To find that tasty candy fountain
And is it true that the Candy Queen?
Just made you Captain Candy King?

Heres to the candy king
and to all the joy he brings
with the wonderful verses that he writes
his name ought to be in lights
wearing his kingly crown
while writing his poetry of renown

Why thank you, Madame. Your picture of me is remarkably accurate, and your poem is simply divine. I am deeply honored and humbled. Have another candy kiss, xo and another xo...
You are terrific!
