*This is the Responsorial Psalm from my "Mass for Peace in Our Time*

The response is sung the first time by the Cantor, and then by the Assembly, and then by the Assembly between each verse.

Response:We shall receive strength from the Lord, and He will bless us with peace

Give to the Lord you mighty,
give the Lord glory and strength
Give glory to His name
          and worship Him in beauty

Response

We hear the voice of the Lord crossing the rivers
          and thundering upon the oceans,
Powerful and majestic is His voice,
bringing strength and peace to all

Response

We hear the voice of the Lord
          breaking through the forest
The tress bend and sway to His will
          the trunks skipping like calves

Response

We hear the voice of the Lord through the fire,
          dividing the flame
He shakes the wilderness when we are lost
          and guides us home

Response

The voice of the Lord discovers the lost and speaks to the hidden
and in His temple, all speak of His glory
The Lord sits upon the flood and thus shall He sit
          as king forever and ever

Response

---------------------------------------------------------

To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world.

It's been a long time since I had my missal out but I think I remember it and this IS very peaceful!

Now this is interesting! And I think I understand...

Although I do not get caught up in definitions of God via pronouns--smiling, and I don't think you do either--I too appreciate the beauty of diverse forms of worship, and I find this lovely and soothing.
