what then are the posts that rule
when following the lead on mules
should we all follow in a line
hoping that the sun will continue to shine?

do not dampen your cloth with much sorrow
or throw into the ring issues of tomorrow
I fear that snatchers of the truth are on screens
and they breed their mule stock in posted rings.

climbing murderous corners that lead to falls
if you pick sensitive issues, don't stand too tall
hatchets are swung by menaces along curved ways
and come down fast if your mule goes astray.

watch those posts that guard you from certain death
veer to closely, a lost foothold might take away your breath
if you keep to the norms of the everyday post
convenience has it you will not give your most.

Wow Martin.. this is a powerful message.. and so true...

Strike out and follow your own path.. I have always believed that people easily forget that the goat that leads the sheep was called a "Judas" goat...
