I'm losing you, aren't I baby?
the signs flash neon, blinding
blocking familliar routes
to the center of you
I'm losing
wishing for our moon
now eclipsed by darkness
how thick the gloom
surrounding his teaching
that you no longer notice
my reaching...

I'm losing you, aren't I baby?
my chance to both craddle & coddle
passed as quickly as you began to toddle
then walk, oh the words you began to talk
then whisper with manly breath
& with sweet zypher wet
imagination, held in check
I know, I'll bet

I'm losing you, aren't I baby?
slipping through my fingers like
a billion grains of sand
& tho I see where you land
how could I peice this thing together
when like dust on the plain we drift,
our lives like so many others, shift
and knowledge comforts no more
then long goodbyes & I know why...

I'm losing you,

aren't I baby?

I hate that feeling! This is the saddest poem I've read in quite some time.

Noah, you are such a sweetie. Thank you for your concern, it means a lot to me. But all is well. This particular poem is concerning someone close to me that I've watched grow from boy to man and go his way. This work is just my way of saying that I miss when he needed me more.

This is beautiful, Tier...Its really hard to let kids grow up, isn't it?
But we all have to cut the apron strings sometime.
Its also wonderful to watch them grow up to be adults though!

Ah, it’s so hard to watch them grow up, then have to let them go. You want them to fly, but you also want them to need you. A lovely job you have done in expressing your feelings

And then sometimes you never let them go... but it's nice to know they can walk on their own.. isn't it and to know also that u had a hand in that..

Good write.. enjoyed this
