Sometimes a relationship is a one way street and you can only go so far before it turns on you.

Do not penetrate me in memories
I will not rise to the occasion
Of you terrorizing my new found energy
Do not stroke me into the high heavens
In useless rhetoric of what could have been

In magnetized verse casting its spell
Do not harpoon me in cupid’s overkill
In ears still numb from repeats
So much so that the vibrations
Will break open the wounded scars

Fermenting and blistering boils
Pricked dry by years of tears
Finally were shed like a snakes skin
To caress the mind in a rebirth
In a declaration of freedoms flight
To soar the sky of a internal beauty

Do not prey on me for I am no longer
The fool of intertwining emotions
I am a free spirit flying overhead
Casting off the old clothes that bind me
Leaving my body to see the light
Of a spiraling paradises of visions

As the vulture I will there waiting
For the hypnotized path of your conquests
To inflict the talons that will strike you
In that internal pride that will sending you scurrying
Back into the hole you came from
Sending your mind wondering

What did I do wrong?
My words have always overpowered
Wishes having always been obeyed
Things wanted were always received
My domain was respected
A servant to my wills and wants

Having finally gained the courage
To wander the trail of their sweets
They are the ones who repeat their mistakes
In a swoosh of wings of fury
Their feet never hit the ground escaping
Thinking it not worth it

For a demon of rebirth
Had broken the spell
Of forbidden treasures raped at will
A lone scar came to rest upon the face
To fester in the lonely tear
Of what they learned to miss

In rags they still wander the streets
While yours circles on a higher plain
Taking you to places that smiles for more
In the relationship of the blending of your skins
Where the only thing abrasive are goose bumps
Praying for more enlightenment

The opening stanza on this piece pulled me in and I would not let me go until the final words were read.  Amazing write here my friend...and I understand where you are coming from.
