Sleepy River
By: Noah Eaton
2/3/02

You’ve got your boat
You’ve got your paddles
Stroking on the Sleepy River to the shore of my heart
You sigh whispers across my dreams
Flowing like ripples
Melting me
As you come sailing
To me…
And I swim for you…

I hear your swallow warble
Singing lightly among the bayou breeze
You kiss my heart like a fawn at the rivers bend
Wending through my veins with desire
Whispering
For me…
As you come sailing
For me…
As I swim for you…

You are my happiest dream…
You are my happiest dream…

My life has been but a babbling brook
I’ve never wanted anything so badly
You’re all over my head
Singing the opera of kismet love to me
Bringing joy and peace to me…
To me…
As you come sailing
To me…
And I swim for you…

Sail to me, baby
I’ll hold you close to me…
Sail to me, baby
I’ll hold you close to me…

Every time I see the waterfalls in your eyes
I see this true paradise
You are my Pocahontas
The chatelaine of my hearts castle
Come sail to me, my love
Down the Sleepy River of my heart
I’ll sail to you…
Swim to me…
I’ll come sailing for you…

Swim to me…
Swim to me…
Swim to me…
Swim to me…

Noah...this is awesome as usual!
You have so much talent for a man who it seems just turned 18 a few short weeks ago.  Keep it up and you will go far!  Bill will be pleased I am sure that his challenge was so well met!

Noah - just looking through poems and found this one. I'm sorry that I missed it. I am amazed at your talent, and we need to do that funny one. How about some funny animal in the forest...
